If the boundary is not visible, check whether an earlier butter unlock or tutorial action is incomplete. Wait for the world to load and rejoin once if the prompt appears stale.
Decide what expansion unlocks
Look for evidence in the live UI: a labeled area, visible station, capacity change, path, or requirement. Expansion can be worthwhile because it unlocks access even when it does not show an immediate cash multiplier.
Do not claim every new space contains a better butter or raises income. Record only what becomes reachable after the current purchase.
Compare expansion with upgrades
Use expansion first when the boundary is the clear blocker and no current-area purchase can advance the goal. Use a butter or roller option first when its displayed effect solves the bottleneck and the current area still offers meaningful progress.

Verify after purchase
Capture the cash balance and boundary before activating it. Wait for confirmation, then verify access, new prompts, and any changed capacity. Do not mix a butter or roller purchase into the same test.

Build a personal expansion map
For each observed expansion, record:
- location or nearby landmark;
- displayed cost;
- prerequisites;
- visible preview;
- access gained;
- new butter or upgrade prompts actually observed;
- date and server;
- unresolved questions.
