Collect the inputs
Complete one cash collection so the balance is current. Write one option card for the next butter, roller upgrade, and expansion. Include:
- option name and progression role;
- displayed cost;
- displayed effect;
- prerequisite or lock;
- current availability;
- cash remaining after purchase;
- bottleneck addressed.
Leave an effect blank when the prompt does not explain it. Do not fill the gap with a value from another game.
Name the current goal
Choose one primary goal: faster or easier active crunching, stronger production, access to a new space, or saving for a required unlock. A purchase can be good for one goal and weak for another.
If the goal is unclear, inspect the nearest blocked action. The first option that directly enables it may be more useful than an unrelated affordable upgrade.
Apply the ordering rules
- Remove unavailable options whose prerequisites cannot be met now.
- Put a required access option first when progress is physically blocked.
- Prefer a clear displayed effect that matches the bottleneck.
- Prefer the option that leaves enough cash for the next required action when benefits are similar.
- Put unknown-effect purchases into manual review.
- Choose saving when no affordable option has a justified effect.
These rules create a reasoned next move, not a mathematical optimum.
Break ties
When two options address the same goal, compare reversibility and evidence. A clearly described effect is easier to evaluate than an unknown one. An expansion required for access may outrank a convenience improvement. A small roller upgrade may be useful if it removes a repeated active bottleneck without delaying the next required butter.
If the tie remains, run another cash cycle and wait. Spending is not required merely because an option is affordable.
Replan after one change
Buy only the selected option, wait for confirmation, and repeat the same cycle. Update cash, prompts, prerequisites, and bottleneck. The next best move may change after one purchase.
Do not buy all three options and then claim the first recommendation worked. One change at a time keeps the result interpretable.
Handle offline cash and passes
Record an offline award before using the planner so it is part of current cash rather than an unexplained change. Record any pass state, but do not assume Infinite Butter or 2x Money applies a particular formula.

Planner example without fake values
Suppose the next butter is affordable with a visible production effect, the roller is cheaper but has no stated effect, and expansion is locked behind more cash. The example uses relationships rather than numbers so it remains honest when live costs change.
